D. ERICKSON
Mr. Erickson joined the Firm in 1995.
He practices in all areas of intellectual property
law, including patent, trademark and copyright prosecution,
litigation, and opinion work.
Mr.
Erickson’s patent ex-perience is focused primarily in the
mechanical, electromechanical, health science and computer
science fields. Mr. Erickson has extensive prosecution and
litigation experience in numerous technologies including,
for example, packaging, safety equipment, automotive products,
industrial machinery, construction equipment and nutraceuticals.
Mr.
Erickson’s practice also includes preparation and prosecution of
trademark and copyright applications and counseling and dispute
resolution in trademark and copyright law. Mr. Erickson provides
counseling, clearance and infringement opinions in both trademark
and copyright matters. By working closely and proactively with
clients, Mr. Erickson strives to eliminate or mitigate unnecessary
disputes and costly litigation.
Mr. Erickson earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from
the University of Iowa in 1991 and his J.D. from the John Marshall
Law School in 1995. Mr.
Erickson is licensed in Illinois and is registered to practice
before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and numerous U.S.
District Courts.
